Thanks for posting information on H-1B visas on your site. I really appreciate the effort. I have a question. My H-1B has been approved and my employer asked me to visit TT Services, But I fail to understand, why I should go to the offices of TT Services. Do they have the authority to stamp visas? If this is the case, where do I have to go for the interview.

TT Services is the approved body to collect H-1B papers. The body does not stamp visa papers, but offers a drop-box facility which H-IB applicants can use to submit visa papers. These in turn are forwarded to the US Consulate. Your employer must have suggested that you use TT Services to save time and effort.

I was browsing through the site and found it extremely useful. I have a question here. I got my H-1B papers approved and would like to go for stamping. So far, I have not traveled out of India. Can I use the drop-box facility offered by the TT Services branch office in Bangalore? I have heard that H-1B applicants can use the drop-box facility to submit documents for stamping and need not go to the Consulate. The drop-box procedures mentioned in the Chennai Consulate web site do not seem to endorse this view. I am a bit confused. An early reply to my query would be extremely helpful.

Yes, you can use the drop-box facility in Bangalore. The US Consulate in Chennai has scrapped the drop-box facility. Its approved body, the TT Services, however, collects documents for stamping in Banglaore, Chennai and Hyderabad.

The address is: 107 Raheja Chambers, 12 Museum Road, Bangalore-1
The phone number is: 5550112.

I have to go for H-1B stamping. Is there any drop-box facility in Bangalore as in Chennai?

The drop box facility is available in Bangalore. TT Services has recently opened a branch office in Bangalore. The address is 107 Raheja Chambers, 12 Museum Road, Bangalore-1. The phone number is: 5550112. You need to submit the approved visa petition and the relevant documents needed for H-1B stamping at the branch office. (See article Stamping Requirements on the Assureconsulting.com site). These will then be forwarded to TT Services, Chennai. The entire process takes five working days approximately.
